| HISTORY OF McFADDEN, FINCHAM The firm of McFADDEN, FINCHAM, practising exclusively in the area of Intellectual Property, was formed in September of 1969 when the late Ronald K. McFadden, of Ottawa, and Ian Fincham, of Montreal, formed an association of Patent and Trade-mark Agents with offices in Ottawa and Montreal. The firm has practised continuously since its inception before the Patent and Trade-mark Offices of Canada and the United States, and throughout the world through its extensive network of selected foreign associates. In 1980 the Montreal office was merged with the Ottawa office; the firm continues to practise in downtown Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, close to the Patent and Trade-mark Office in Gatineau, Quebec, and close to the Federal Court in Ottawa. McFADDEN, FINCHAM is a partnership of Patent and Trade-mark Agents and Counsel, providing services to its clients in all areas of Intellectual Property, including Patents, Trade-marks, Industrial Designs, Copyright and licensing of rights. Services in the Intellectual Property field at the highest level are provided by our firm to clients domiciled in Canada and major industrialized countries of the world. Counsel to the firm provide legal services and expertise in all areas of Intellectual Property. The senior Partners of the firm have acted as advisors to multi-national firms in the field of Patent litigation in Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom and Europe.
